2005 Interim Financial Report

Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Fubon Bank”) today announced that the Bank’s 2005 Interim Financial Report has been issued and is now available for the public on its webpage (www.fubonbank.com.hk) and at its 23 branches, 4 Ambassador Centers and 2 Securities Services Centers.


The Fubon Bank 2005 Interim Financial Report has been prepared in accordance with the Hong Kong Accounting Standard 34, Interim financial reporting, issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”). It also complies with the Supervisory Policy Manual “Interim Financial Disclosure by Locally Incorporated Authorised Institutions” issued by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the applicable disclosure provisions of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.


The interim financial report is unaudited, but has been reviewed by KPMG in accordance with Statement of Auditing Standards 700, “Engagements to review interim financial reports”, issued by the HKICPA.


A copy of the Interim Financial Report which includes the unaudited financial statements and the unaudited supplementary financial information is enclosed with this press release.
