Open Application Programming Interface (Open API) Using banking services via websites/applications of third-party service providers (Chinese version only)


Open API facilitates banks to exchange their product information and open up the product application systems with third-party service providers (”TSPs”) using Application Programming Interface (API). Customers may benefit from the latest information and promotional offers of our products and services on third-party websites or mobile applications. Customers are allowed to compare different services and products under a single website or mobile application for comprehensive financial planning and instant online application for the Bank’s services and products.

Besides, Open API allows TSPs to access account information from banks with customer’s authorization in a secure and reasonable manner, such as account availability, account status, account balance and transaction details. Hence, customers can check the Bank account information and manage the accounts in third-party websites or applications. Currently, this service is only applicable to corporate and SME customers who have registered for Fubon Internet Banking Service.

The Bank strives to build innovative and integrated platforms and actively co-operate with TSPs to provide seamless customer experience and deliver the best-in-class banking services. The Bank is currently collaborating with the below TSP Partners. Interbank Account Data Sharing（IADS）
The Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) scheme is planned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and is based on the Open Application Programming Interface Framework (Phase 3). IADS has established codes and standards for interbank account data sharing, allowing customers to share their account safely and efficiently at participating banks (data providing banks) to other participating banks (data receiving bank) of their choice based on their wishes and after the bank obtains the customer’s consent. Account data sharing could help digitalise banking operations, strengthen risk management of banks, enhance customer experience and increase the accuracy of credit assessment.

As a data provider, the Bank will share your the current account or savings account information with other bank via Open API after obtaining the customer’s consent.
