IADS - Share Fubon Bank Account Information to Other Banks

Q1. Who is eligible to grant consent for sharing account information of Fubon Bank with other banks?

In order to use this service, you need to:
  • Register for Fubon Internet Banking;
  • Have a valid mobile number registered with the Bank; and
  • Hold a Current or Savings account (e.g. Current or Savings account) of the Bank.

Q2. What kind of data will be shared after having my consent?

With your consent, we will only share the following information of your deposit account during the consent period:
  1. Account availability
  2. Account status
  3. Account balances
  4. Transaction records

Q3. Under what circumstances can other banks access the information of my deposit account ?

We will only share the information your deposit account with your selected bank during the consent period, provided that you have given an active.

Q4. How can I review the details of my account data sharing consent?

You can login to Internet Banking to view the details of account data sharing consent.

Q5. Can I revoke my data sharing consent?

You can login to Internet Banking to revoke your consents as required, and stop data sharing instantly.You can login to Internet Banking to revoke your consents as required, and stop data sharing instantly.
IADS - Enquire Your Other Bank(s)' Account Information

Q6. Where can I grant consent and enquire other Bank(s)' account information from? 

If you are an Individual customer, you can use the "U Account" service in the Fubon Mobile Banking App, Fubon+, for details please refer to Fubon Mobile Banking | Fubon Bank.
If you are a Corporate customer, you can use the "IADS" service in Fubon Business Online, for details please refer to Fubon Business Online | Fubon Bank.

Q7. Why can't I find the Bank that I would like to grant consent to in the Bank list?

Our Bank will update this list from time to time. The banks on this grant consent bank list represent banks you can grant consent to and share your account information with through Fubon Bank. For information on the list of IADS participating Banks, please refer to Hong Kong Monetary Authority - Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS)(hkma.gov.hk) .

Q8. What should I do if I cannot log in after being redirected to the selected bank's platform?

If you are unable to log in to the selected bank's platform to complete the granting consent process, please contact the selected bank for assistance.

Q9. Why can't I find the account that I would like to share information with Fubon Bank? 

After you have selected the Bank to grant consent to, you will be re-directed to that Bank's online banking platform. If you have any enquires about the account list provided by that bank, you can contact that bank for enquiry.

Q10. How long is the consent period for sharing account information from other banks?  

We will only access the selected bank account information while the consent is valid. When you grant a new consent, the effective period for that consent is 12 months. You can also revoke the consent before its expiry date; you will then no longer be able to view the bank account information on Fubon / Fubon Business Online. Once the consent expires or is cancelled, you can grant consent again to view the account information of that bank again.

Q11: If I already have an active consent, can I add other accounts from the same bank or revoke one of the accounts in the consent?

To add other accounts from the same bank, you will need to create a new consent. If you wish to revoke one of the accounts in the consent, you must cancel the entire active consent with the Bank and then create a new one.

Q12. When will my other Bank account information be updated?

Each time you access the “My Account” page, we will display the latest account information provided by other banks. You can also manually refresh the information by clicking the “Refresh” button, and the last update time will be displayed on the page for reference.

Please note that the information provided by other banks on Fubon+ / Fubon Business Online is for reference only. The Bank does not assume any responsibility for its accuracy. If there is a discrepancy with the records from other banks, please consider the records from the other banks as accurate or contact the respective bank for clarification.

Q13. How many days of recent transaction records can I check from other banks?

You can check the transaction records from the past 60 days (for individual customer) / 180 days (for corporate customer).
