Please follow the below security guidelines to secure protection when using the "Fubon Business Online" Service:

  • Always enter the full URL of Fubon Bank Hong Kong’s website www.fubonbank.com.hk at the address bar of your browser to access the "Fubon Business Online"
  • Do not access "Fubon Business Online" through public computers or connect to public Wi-Fi
  • Do not access "Fubon Business Online" through hyperlinks embedded in any e-mails, SMS, webpages or social media pages/posts
  • Ensure the authenticity of "Fubon Business Online" by clicking the padlock or key icon at the web browser to confirm that the digital certificate is issued to www.fbo.fubonbank.com.hk within the validity period
  • Always click the log out button to exit the "Fubon Business Online" and close the browser after using FBO
  • Check your bank statement regularly to ensure accuracy of the transactions performed via "Fubon Business Online"
  • For account security and to ensure you can receive the notification via SMS and email, please ensure your contact number and email address are correct per our records. Please contact your FBO administrator immediately in case of any update
  • Please contact our 24-hour Service Hotline at 2104 3362 if you suspect any unauthorized access or transactions


Protect your User ID and Password

Protect your User ID and Password
  • Always keep your user ID and password secure and secret
  • Fubon Bank or any of our business partners will never ask you for sensitive information such as your user ID or password by email or phone. If you have any doubt, please contact us immediately
  • Do not select easily accessible personal information such as your telephone number, ID Card number or your date of birth as your password
  • Do not use the same password for accessing other services (for example, connection to the Internet or accessing other websites)
  • Change your password on a regular basis
  • Do not share your "Fubon Business Online" account with others
  • Do not write down your password on your personal computer, on any device for accessing “Fubon Business Online” or nearby objects
  • Destroy the original printed copy of the password after you have changed the password


Protect your Computer and Security Device

Protect your Computer and Security Device
  • Use the latest versions of operating system and browser
  • Install firewall and virus detection software in your computer and update them regularly to protect your computer against virus and hackers
  • Keep your Security Device in a safe place. Please report to Fubon Bank for replacement immediately in case of loss
  • Do not disclose the serial number of your Security Device to anyone or allow others to use your Security Device


Administrator of “Fubon Business Online”

Administrator of “Fubon Business Online”
  • “Fubon Business Online” account must be setup by authorized administrators before use
  • Administrator can be setup as 1 administrator or 2 administrators to jointly manage the account according to the company’s needs
  • When 2 administrators have been set, all amendments must be approved by another before becoming effective
  • Please report to Fubon Bank immediately in case of change of administrator


Use of Security Device

Use of Security Device
  • Security Device is only available for authorized person to perform Two-Factor Authentication
  • Security Device must be registered before use
  • Transaction approver and approval matrix must be setup before executing any transactions
  • High-risk transactions must be authenticated by security device
  • Please report to Fubon Bank immediately in case of change of administrator or transaction approver


Beware of Phishing Messages and Fraudulent Websites

Beware of Phishing Messages and Fraudulent Websites Fraudsters recently purported to be genuine buyers on online trading platform and sent out phishing email messages embedded with fraudulent website hyperlinks or QR codes. These phishing email messages made different false claims and lured customers to click on the embedded hyperlinks or scan the QR codes in the messages and enter electronic banking credentials for verifying the deliveries, deals closure or payment collection.

To protect your benefits, please be reminded that Fubon Bank will never ask you to provide personal information, such as your account number, user ID, password or security code by email, hyperlinks or QR codes.

Fake Call/ SMS/ Email/ Letter/ Fax Alert

Fake Call/ SMS/ Email/ Letter/ Fax Alert The fraudsters may disguise as bank officials or police officers to collect your personal information through fake calls. They may also collect information through SMS messaging/ emails/ letters/ faxes or any other forms. For instance, they may pretend to be bank officials or police officers and send mass SMS/ emails/ letters/ faxes enquiring about your personal information, or send text messages through a lost or stolen mobile phone. You should never disclose your personal information (e.g. PIN) to a third party and should safely keep your personal information in a safe place at all times.

Customer's Liability for Loss
  • If you notice or believe your “Fubon Business Online” PIN or device has been compromised, lost or stolen, or unauthorized transactions being conducted, please contact our 24-hour Service Hotline 2104 3362 immediately to terminate your “Fubon Business Online” Service. You will be liable for all losses if you fail to notify the Fubon as soon as reasonably practicable
  • You may be held liable for all losses if you have acted fraudulently or with gross negligence, or failed to follow the security guidelines


Customer's Responsibility for Information Updated

Customer's Responsibility for Information Updated

Customer shall notify Fubon Bank immediately of any change in the contact details provided by customer to Fubon Bank, including address, facsimile, email address or telephone number. Until Fubon Bank receives such notification, all communications or notices sent to the customer's address, facsimile, mail address or telephone number shall be deemed to have been duly delivered to the customer.
