Please follow the below security guidelines to secure protection when using the "Fubon Business Online" Service:

  • Always enter the full URL of Fubon Bank Hong Kong website www.fubonbank.com.hk at the address bar of your browser to access the "Fubon Business Online" Service
  • Do not log on "Fubon Business Online" Service using public computers
  • Do not leave your computer unattended after log on "Fubon Business Online" Service
  • Do not access our "Fubon Business Online" Service website through hyperlinks embedded in any e-mails
  • Ensure all other Internet browser windows are closed before log on "Fubon Business Online" Service
  • Ensure communicating with our "Fubon Business Online" Service website by clicking the padlock or key icon at the web browser to confirm that the digital certificate is issued to www.fbo.fubonbank.com.hk within the validity period
  • Always use the log out button to exit the "Fubon Business Online" Service and close the browser after a log out confirmation had displayed
  • Always log off "Fubon Business Online" Service before visiting other Internet sites
  • If anyone else is likely to use your computer, please clear your cache or turn off the computer and re-initiate your browser in order to eliminate copies of web pages that have been stored in your hard disk
  • Check your bank statement regularly to ensure accuracy of the transactions performed via "Fubon Business Online" Service
  • For security & SMS notification purposes, please ensure the accuracy of contact number. Please contact your FBO administrator immediately in case of any update.

Protect your User ID and Password
  • Always keep your User ID and Password secure and secret
  • Fubon Bank or any of our business partners will never ask you for sensitive information such as your User ID or Password by email or phone. If you have any doubt, please contact us immediately
  • Do not select easily accessible personal information such as your telephone number, ID Card number or your date of birth as your Password
  • Do not use the same password for accessing other services (for example, connection to the Internet or accessing other websites)
  • Do not write down or record the Password without disguise
  • Change your Password on a regular basis
  • Do not allow anybody else to operate your "Fubon Business Online" Service account or use your Password
  • When you are using others' computer to perform banking transactions, please ensure that your Password has not been copied or stored in its hard disk
  • Do not write down your Password on your personal computer, on any device for accessing Fubon e-banking Service or on anything usually kept with or near it
  • Destroy the original printed copy of the Password after you have changed the Password
  • When you input invalid passwords consecutively for 3 times, the Bank will suspend your access to the "Fubon Business Online" Service. In order to resume the related functions, or you suspect that other person attempts to use your access right by guessing your Password, please contact our customer service officer at the hotline designated by the Bank for handling

Protect your computer and security device
  • Install firewall and virus detection software in your computer and update them regularly to protect your computer against virus and hackers
  • Do not allow anybody else to operate or control your Security Device
  • Keep your Security Device in a safe place
  • Please report to the Bank immediately if the Security Device is lost
  • Do not disclose the serial number of your Security Device to anyone


Administrator of “Fubon Business Online”

Administrator of “Fubon Business Online”
  • Login accounts for the “Fubon Business Online” service must be setup by authorized administrators before use
  • Depends on company structure, administrator can be setup as 1 administrator or 2 administrators jointly manage
  • When 2 administrators were setup, all amendments must be approved by another before effective
  • Please report to the Bank immediately if administrator has changed


Use of Security Device

Use of Security Device
  • For Two-Factor Authentication, Security Device is for authorized person to use only
  • Security Device must be registered before use
  • Transaction approver and approval matrix must be setup before any fund transfer
  • Please report to the Bank immediately if administrator or transaction approver has changed

Fraudulent emails are going around recently. These emails request customers to provide their banking information by different means such as account activation request or require of data verification so as to take further illicit operations.


To protect your benefits, please be reminded that Fubon Bank will never ask you to provide personal information, such as your account number, User ID and Password by email.

Fake Call/ SMS/ Letter/ Fax Alert

Fake Call/ SMS/ Letter/ Fax Alert

The fraudsters may disguise as bank officials or police officers to collect your personal information through fake calls. They may also collect information through SMS messaging/ letters/ faxes or any other forms. For instance, they may pretend to be bank officials or police officers and send mass SMS/ letters/ faxes enquiring about your personal information, or send text messages through a lost or stolen mobile phone. You should never disclose your personal information (e.g. PIN) to a third party and should safely keep your personal information in a safe place at all times.

Customer's liability for loss
  • If you notice or believe your Fubon Business Online PIN or device has been compromised, lost or stolen, or unauthorized transactions being conducted, please contact our 24-hour Service Hotline 2104 3362 immediately to terminate your e-banking Service. You will be liable for all losses if you fail to notify the Bank as soon as reasonably practicable
  • You may be held liable for all losses if you have acted fraudulently or with gross negligence, or failed to follow the security guidelines


The customer's responsibility for information updated

The customer's responsibility for information updated

The customer shall notify Fubon immediately of any change in the contact details provided by the customer to Fubon, including its address, facsimile, telex electronic mail address or telephone number. Until Fubon receives such notification, all communications or notices sent to the customer's address, facsimile, telex electronic mail address or telephone number shall be deemed to have been duly delivered to the customer.
