You should follow these security tips from time to time when using the Internet Stock Trading (IST) Service and FB Invest+:

Internet Stock Trading Security Tips Internet Stock Trading access
1.   Do not logon to the IST Service of Fubon Bank (“the Bank”) in public area or cyber cafes.
2.   Do not leave your computer unattended after you have logged on to the IST Service.
3.   Do not access our IST website through hyperlinks embedded in any emails.
4.   Ensure your access to the Bank’s website through the web browsers' bookmark is genuine.
5.   Ensure all other internet browser windows are closed when you have logon to the IST Service.
6.   Ensure secure communication with the IST website of the Bank by clicking the padlock or key icon at the bottom corner of the web browser to check that the digital certificate is issued to www.ist.fubonbank.com.hk and issued by Thawte SGC CA < www.thawte.com > within a valid period.
7.   Always use the logout button to exit the IST Service and close the browser after a logout confirmation have been displayed.
8.   Always logoff the IST Service before visiting other internet sites.
9.   If anyone else is likely to use your computer, clear your cache or turn off and re-initiate your browser in order to eliminate copies of web pages that have been stored in your hard drive.
10.   Check your bank statement and/or notification (e.g. SMS messages and/or emails) sent by the Bank in a timely manner.
11.   If you identify unusual/suspicious transactions of the account or find that your authentication factors/devices for accessing the IST Service has been compromised, lost or stolen, please contact the Bank as soon as practicable.

12.   Customers should ensure the accuracy of the registered mobile phone number and the email address for receiving important notifications (for example, SMS or email notifications for login and order notifications) from time to time. In case of any update, please visit any of our branches for the relevant procedures.
13.   The Bank will never request customers to install or update IST Service through SMS. Please do not access our IST Service website through hyperlinks embedded in any SMS.

Protect Your Authentication Factors
1.   Keep your securities account number and authentication factors secure and confidential.
2.   The Bank and our business partners will never ask you for sensitive information such as your securities account number or authentication factors by email or phone. When in doubt, please contact the Bank immediately.

3.   Do not use easily accessible personal information, such as your telephone number, ID card number or your date of birth as your password.
4.   Do not use the same password for accessing other services (e.g. connection to the internet or accessing other websites).
5.   Do not write down or record the password without disguise.
6.   Change your password on a regular basis.
7.   Do not allow anyone to operate your IST account or use your authentication factors.
8.   When you are using others' computer to perform transactions, be careful that your authentication factors have not been copied or stored in its hard drive.
9.   Do not write down or record your password on any device for accessing IST Service or on anything usually kept with or near it.
10.   Destroy the original printed copy of the password after you have changed the password.

Protect Your Device
1   All reasonable measures should be taken to keep your device secure and safe.
2.   Install firewall and anti-virus software on your device (for example, personal computers, mobile phones and security devices that generate one-time password) and update it regularly to protect your device against virus and hackers.
3.   Do not allow anyone to operate or control your device.
4.   Do not forward SMS to devices or phone numbers provided by unknown others. When travelling abroad, it is advisable to use the same SIM card and mobile phone for receiving SMS instead of forwarding all SMS to another mobile phone or SIM card.

Email Scam Alert
1.   Fraudulent emails are going around recently. These emails ask customers to provide their banking information by different means such as account activation request or require of data verification so as to take further illicit operations.
2.   To protect your benefits, please remember that the Bank will never ask you for sensitive information, such as your securities account number, customer reference number or authentication factors by email.
3.   When in doubt, please contact the Bank immediately.
