Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Fubon Bank”) today announced its plan to begin refreshing its complete automated teller machine (ATM) fleet with new NCR models, making it the first bank in Hong Kong to deploy NCR’s latest Personas M Series 76 interior ATMs. With the introduction of this new technology, Fubon Bank aims to further enhance its service quality and fulfill its “Value Banking” service commitment to offer customers the best banking service available. The deal with NCR includes the purchase of new units, as well as maintenance services and NCR’s APTRA™ software solution.
The NCR Personas M Series 76 ATM comes with a stylish and modern design and the latest LCD touch colour screen technology, which is extremely easy-to-use by all user groups. The new ATM offers a wide range of innovative features in a single unit, such as Intelligent Deposit and passbook printing, to name a few. Fubon Bank will use NCR’s APTRATM Promote software to make good use of the new ATM colour screens as an advertising platform for displaying the bank’s latest market promotional campaigns. Fubon customers will be informed of the Bank’s latest promotions while their transaction is processed, without adding extra time to the sequence.
Fubon Bank is also offering enhanced security and protection for its customers as they enter their personal identification numbers (PINs). The units feature added privacy filters at the LCD display screen which makes the screen unreadable by others when viewed from the side or back. They feature special privacy panels over the keyboard pads to avoid shoulder surfing attempts to view PINs being entered and are also installed with customer privacy wings located on both sides of the ATM fascia to further enhance transaction privacy.
